As with most games there are things you can buy (power-ups, lives, coins, event passes etc.) but they are optional and not overly pushed, and there isn’t even a separate premium currency for these games, just coins that can also be earned through playing levels. □ Are these free games or a “free” games? Surprisingly, given how much money these games make, these actually are genuinely free games. Of course the company that makes these games (Playrix) is one of the highest-grossing mobile game companies out there so it’s not that much of a surprise that they can put so much into their games. The game also has a charming storyline and characters, and it seems like there was a lot of work put into the scenes between levels and the art and whatnot. I actually prefer Homescapes more because of the cuter and more colorful match-3 tiles as well as the cooler/more satisfying power-ups and features. I enjoy match-3 games and there are a lot of decent match-3 levels and features, which are different between Gardenscapes and Homescapes (Homescapes being a spin-off of Gardenscapes). □ Are these games still fun? Yes, in my opinion they are still fun.
